The Switzerland Area Election Committee is the 2025 appointed Swiss affiliate of the World Zionist Organisation (WZO)
- Voter Registration: 13 – 26 June 2025
- Election Dates: 09 – 10 July 2025

ELECTIONS TO THE 39TH WORLD ZIONIST CONGRESS
This election gives Jews around the world a chance to influence Israel’s governance and represents the single biggest opportunity for Swiss Jews to influence the future of our people for the better.
Following approved registration, you will be entitled to vote in the Swiss elections to the World Zionist Congress between in 09 – 10 July 2025.
The Swiss Area Election Committee is the 2025 appointed Swiss affiliate of the World Zionist Organisation (WZO). The election process is overseen by the Swiss Area Election Committee, Dr. Marcel Engelmayer (Chair), Marc Baer, Jonathan Bollag, Roy Matas, Alex Wolf.
The Area Election Committee works according to the election rules as set by the WZO and is in constant communication with WZO representatives to make sure the election is run according to WZO standards.
Election Timeline:
- Voting Registry opens 13 June and closes 26 June
- Voting Registry verification by AEC/elections officer - 27 June to 03 July
- Voting opens on 09 July and ends on 10 July
Who Can Vote?
To be eligible, you must:
- Any natural person to whom the Law of Return of the State of Israel applies
- Be 18+ years old on 30 June 2025
- Confirm your commitment to the
Jerusalem Program
- Is a
Swiss citizen or has a
permanent residence in Switzerland
- Not have voted in the Israeli Knesset election (1 Nov 2022) or in the 39th WZC elections in another country. if general elections are held in Israel before the World Zionist Congress October 2025, not to vote in those elections
How to Register & Vote
Voter registration will be open from 13 June until 26 June 2025.
A registration fee of CHF 5 will apply. This is known as the Zionist Shekel.
